Jimmy Martin (aka JimmyFro) is a NE Ohio musician who was born and raised in Warren Ohio and has made alot of musician friends performing, running sound, and organizing music events over the years. The JimmyFro show is very much inspired by Daytrotter.com in how they introduce new bands and new sounds to the world. You’ll be surprised by many of the well known artists we have interviewed, some of which are signed to major labels or were at one time. Jimmy Martin is also an artist who has tried to make a name for himself. Jimmy has been apart of several bands going back to elementary school concert band, marching band, jazz band, YSU Dana Choir, to black sabbath tribute band Rat Salad and drummer for the band Tempter from Syracuse NY. He lived in NY for three years returning to Ohio to form the band MALISON FROWN and played with acts such as The Infidels, Bunji Jambo, Liquid Brick, Coinmonster. In 1998 Jimmy joined the band Shadowhead made up of Steve Pownell, Sam Petillo, Scott File and Robb Byron which became "Full Circle" subsequently after Robb and Scott went on to do different things, ex Malison Frown guitarist Roger Bates and Detrimetal vocalist (picking up the sticks) Mark Revis were added to the line-up. Full Circle had a good run and even broke Gary Lee and the Cat Daddy's occupancy record at The Horsehoe in Warren Ohio. We are happy to have Robb Byron as a co-host of the podcast. Jimmy, in 2005 put out a 4 song EP with the band DOWNLOAD and released his original music EP CD “Summer Days” under the name JIMMY,mixed and mastered by Mike Garrigan . These days, Jimmy writes, records, and occasionally performs with 7 Saturdays which is essentially (French Blue +3) featuring Jennifer Lamb Durno and Steve Pownell. He was also was the guy who put together LOCALPALOOZA, a RuKusRadio DJ, and happens to have a large bank of experience and knowledge that can help younger aspiring artists; if not by sharing the knowledge of what to do.. maybe what NOT to do. This podcast is non-profit aka FREE. Enjoy!
